Businesses are getting the upper hand against malicious emails with the latest offering from Phriendly Phishing, Australia’s pioneering anti-phishing training provider.
Phish Reporter, the newest free tool against the millions of harmful emails sent every day, bolts onto regular Outlook software to encourage and support anti-phishing exercises.
IT security expert and Phriendly Phishing’s Executive Director, Damian Grace, said Phish Reporter is an employee powered alert system that businesses of all size can take on to reduce the threat of a phishing attack.
“With a single click, employees can alert their IT support or security team to a potentially devastating attack that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
“S.C.A.M. Reporter is an important step for early detection, control and reinforcement of safe online behaviour in small, medium and large workplaces,” Damian said.
Once a low-rung tactic against users, the Australian Government estimates that cyber crimes can cost a single Australian business an average of $270,000*; and with criminals crafting ever more sophisticated email campaigns Damian said traditional training has lost its sheen.
“S.C.A.M. Reporter, in conjunction with Phriendly Phishing training, offers end to end support to encourage and reward smart online behaviour no matter where your staff are located or what hours they work.
“We want to protect Australian businesses against malicious attacks, which is why we have a free version that’s available to everyone, and a premium version as part of our Phriendly Phishing subscription that offers email threat correlation, false positive filtering and customisable branding,” Damian Grace said.
